Day 3

Subject: [firstname]: Try these first.

Hey [firstname]!

Today I want to talk about some social media sites you must be on to begin with. These will help you build a solid foundation to your social media presence and make social media marketing easier.

The first one is Facebook. Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last few years, you've probably heard of Facebook. Oftentimes it's what people think of when they hear the phrase “social media”, but do you realize just how massive Facebook is?

Here are some stats…

Facebook has 2.45 billion monthly active users registered as of Q3 2019. Of those, 1.62 billion are active daily. 69% of US adults have used Facebook. The average US user uses Facebook for 37 minutes per day. 140 million businesses use Facebook every month. 85% of US businesses have used Facebook as a marketing platform since 2016.

I could go on, but you get the picture!

If you only establish a presence on ONE social media site, make it Facebook.

Next is Twitter. Twitter is a microblogging platform where users can post short “tweets” of up to 280 characters. Beloved by Donald Trump and other politicians and business leaders, it's a great way to bypass “gatekeepers” and get your message right in front of your target audience.

Finally there's YouTube. In addition to being a social media site with lots of cute videos of cats and other stuff that makes you go “ahhh”, lots of people use YouTube as a search engine; in fact, it's the second most popular search engine online – right after Google (which happens to own YouTube). A high ranking video here has the potential to send you a ton of traffic.

Whatever you do, make sure you use the same username across all your accounts so people know you're you.

Talk soon!

PS. There's a whole bunch of other platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) to consider once you've you've gotten established on the platforms I've mentioned today. I cover the pros and cons of each in my social media marketing manual. Grab your copy now from [link to sales page].
